Jarrah's Uplink
Well. I'm back. Not that you knew I was gone.
But I was. At my grandparents' place, again. There was much cleaning
and dust. I also now have a standing "dibs" on my grandmother's
driving gloves in the event she shuffles off this mortal coil
(which I hope doesn't happen for quite some time, but when it
does, I'm getting those gloves).
Since getting back, I've done much mucking about
with fonts, Kingdom of Loathing
and reading a webcomic called Unspeakable
Vault (of Doom), which is very fun, particularly if
you like both the works of H. P. Lovecraft and Terry Prattchet.
I've also been trying to draw an Arbiz, one of
the alien species that lives in the TransStellar universe, with
very little success. I cannot for the life of me get the current
design to look serious and cool. More work will be required.
On the other hand, a bit of art that has
been successful is the disigning of a number of TransStellar badges.
My friend Zorro seems to think he can sell some, so I'm obliging
in designing them. Whether we can break even on them, let alone
make a profit, remains to be seen.

John's Uplink
I gotta say, this week has been crazy, and it's
only going to get crazier over the next months. Exams loom large
on my horizon. Despite attempting to become Eager Beaver when
it comes to schoolwork, I admit to being distracted by one very
distracting item these past weeks - Halo 3. Yes, the game of all
games has ensnared me its spore-laden web. And it does live up
to the hype. It may not be everything it could possibly be, but
what it is is the best game to come to a console. Ever. The pace
of gameplay, the instinctual control scheme, the intriguing storyline
and the ability for users to create their own content all combine
in one collosal swirl of superiority.
I'd like to dedicate this comic to the Victorian Curriculumn
Assessment Authority, in hope that they have mercy on me.
