Well, yet again, John is a positive font
of verbalisation, and I'm lost for words. This is probably
because I'm exceptionally tired after going to a bush dance
then staying up half the night talking.

John's Uplink
I resisted writing an uplink for this comic
for quite some time... devoted Pterry (thats Terry Prattchet
for those of you playing at home - Jarrah) fans will
easily comprehend the whyfore... until Jarrah agreed to number
it "7a". Even such protective measures may not be
sufficient, so understand that I risk my very sanity to write
this week's Uplink.
And what an exciting week it has been! Global market plunges,
earthshaking terror in Peru, and Russia rethawing the Cold
War! Fantastic stuff. Meanwhile, I have been busy with university
open days and the tiring business of sitting on cousins -
sorry... providing child care services for my beloved aunt
and uncle. Exhausting, yes, but also a blast, plus I got to
brush up on my Halo skills... like the saying goes, teach
a man to cook, he'll eat for a day, give a man a plasma grenade,
he'll explode. Or something like that, I may be mixing metaphors.
The other rather exciting piece of news this week has been
the announcement of 4th edition D&D... a game dear to
my heart and the hearts of gamers everywhere. 4e promises
to be more customizable, better written, and easier to play
than 3e... but we'll see. |
